Third Session of the Ninth Series of the 'Preaching the Dhamma in English' Programme – Department of English
The 3rd session of the 9th series of the 'Preaching the Dhamma in English' programme took place on 19th September 2023, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am through a virtual platform. Venerable Minuwangoda Gnanawasa Thero, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Comparative Studies of the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka conducted the session on the title, “Equipping Young Buddhist Scholars for Dhamma Propagation in the Modern World and Their Duty in Popularizing Buddhism in the Contemporary Society”. The programme witnessed the active participation of first-year English medium students and the staff of the Department of English.
