At the first Literary Festival; “Sahithya Sankathana – 2016” of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, four Peer Reviewed Journals and ten  academic journals published by each department of the two faculties; Faculty of Buddhist Studies and Faculty of Language Studies were launched.

 

Peer Reviewed Journals

  1. BPU Journal of Buddhist Studies and Humanities -.  This First Volume (First Issue) of the ‘BPU Journal of Buddhist Studies and Humanities’ includes seventeen research articles written by the internal and external academics, with seven articles in English and ten articles in Sinhala. The articles vary in their themes as each article represents a different discipline. The articles cover the fields of Buddhist Studies (Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Culture, Pali Language, and Sanskrit Language), Language and Literature Studies (English Literature, Sinhala Literature, and Chinese Language), and Management.  The review board thus consisted of renowned scholars from diverse fields, multiplying the academic quality of the journal.

  1. Journal of Pali - Published by the Department of Pali, this journal includes nine research articles written by both internal and external academics.

 

  1. Journal of Buddhist Culture (JBC) - Published by the Department of Buddhist Culture, this journal includes nine research articles written by both internal and external academics.  

  1. BPU Journal of Religious Studies – This biannual Peer Reviewed Journal, published by the Religious Studies Research and Publication society of the Department of Religious Studies and Comparative Philosophy, includes seven research articles written by the academics and the students of the university.

  1. Journal of Pali- 2015 (Second Volume), published by the Department of Pali, includes fourteen research articles both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.
  2. Journal of Pali- 2016 (Third Volume), published by the Department of Pali, includes twenty research articles both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.
  3. Bhashaprabha- 2016 (9th Volume), published by the Department of Sanskrit, includes fifteen research articles both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.

  1. Vibudha Lekhā (1st Volume), published by the Department of Buddhist Culture, includes fourteen research articles, both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.

  1. Mimesisara – 2015(3rd  Volume), published by the Department of Buddhist Philosophy, includes sixteen research articles, both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.

  1. Nuwanesa – Journal of Sinhala Studies (2nd  Volume), published by the Department of Sinhala and Modern Languages, includes nineteen research articles, both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.
  2. Journal of Religious Studies , published by the Religious Studies Research and Publication society Department of Religious Studies and Comparative Philosophy includes five research articles both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.
  3. Journal of Archaeology (1st Volume), published by the Department of Archaeology, includes twenty five research articles, both in Sinhala and English, written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.

 

  1. Aurora – Journal of English Studies – 2015 (1st Volume), published by the Department of English, includes twenty seven research articles written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.
  2. Aurora – Journal of English Studies – 2016 (2nd Volume), published by the Department of English, includes thirteen research articles written by internal and external academics and the student-researchers of the university.

 

Other Journals/Books/Souvenirs

  • Buddhist and Pali Studies – Academic Journal of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka – 2015. Includes twenty research articles written by the internal academics.
  • Glamour – 2016 – A Souvenir with the creative writings of the students written in English, Tamil, Hindi, French, Korean, Chinese and Japanese languages published by the Department of Sinhala and Modern Languages, Department of English and the English Language Teaching Unit.
