Circulation & Borrowing
All the circulation activities are performed at the main counter of the library. All books with PR spine labels are not available on loan.
Books with GR and lending spine labels may be checked out for outside use. SR books will be issued 2 hours prior to the closing of the library and to be returned before 10.00 am of the following day of library opening. Weekends and public holidays are exempt from this rule. Overdue charges will be imposed on late returns.

(For academic Staff)
It is required to produce library tickets along with the university record Book or identity card at the time of check-out of library materials.
Borrowers are responsible for the prompt return in good condition of all materials borrowed.
It is the responsibility of the library user to check for any damage to library materials such as tom out pages, defacing etc. and to get an endorsement from the library staff at the issuing counter to that effect in the library material concerned. In the absence of such a report, the library materials will be presumed to have been in good condition when loaned, and the borrower will be held responsible and fined for any damage observed at the time library materials are returned.
All checked out materials have to be produced for inspection by security officers at the main entrance.
PR books and periodicals will be issued only for photocopying.

Library tickets are not transferable. The holder of library tickets is responsible for any library material issued under such tickets and therefore should protect them with utmost care.
The loss of library tickets should be reported to the registration counter immediately. Duplicate copies can be obtained after submitting a duly completed form from 1 month of the submission. Replacement charge is Rs. 25.00 per ticket.
The library tickets should be returned to the Reader's Adviser Desk after the final examination. Then the library will be issued a no claim certificate is a must to obtain the Degree certificate or any other certificate issued by the university. If no claim certification is lost, he has to pay Rs. 25.00 to obtain the same again.
